ELTON JOHN CONCERT T-SHIRT AND PROGRAM FROM A SPECIAL ELTON JOHN A.I.D.S. FOUNDATION BENEFIT CONCERT HELD IN ATLANTA GA ON SATURDAY 8th MAY 1993.I Attended this concert with a friend while on business in Atlanta. We were driving in the car and on the radio the announcer says that the sold out benefit show being held that night at the OMNI (long since demolished) in downtown Atlanta has a few extra seats being released at that moment. The stage was slightly smaller than expected which created a small number of new seats. We saw a Turtle's Records, ran inside to the Ticketmaster and got two seats on the second row. Of the five or six times I have seen Elton John this show was definitely the best. Never underestimate your proximity to the stage affecting your enjoyment of the show.
This show was part of the "North America and Europe 1993" tour and was a benefit for the Elton John A.I.D.S. Foundation. It was held on Saturday 8th May, 1993 at the Omni in downtown Atlanta. The t-shirt is an olive green color. It was unique to this particular concert. The front of the t-shirt reads "ELTON JOHN A.I.D.S. Benefit STYLED BY GIANNI VERSACE". The back reads "ELTON JOHN ATLANTA Saturday 8th May 1993, Elton John A.I.D.S. Foundation Inc." The T-shirt has never been worn or washed. The program is in mint condition. Both have been packed away in a box for nearly 30 years.
I doubt you will see this shirt ever again.
